Who is this Test for?

Anyone wanting to work in the construction industry in the UK needs a CSCS card. To apply for a card you need to have passed certain tests, including the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) Health, Safety and Environment Test.

Test details:

The CITB Health, safety and environment (HS&E) operatives and specialist test app offers a comprehensive preparation for the CITB test, which is a multiple-choice test on health and safety on a construction site. Tests are available for individuals or groups. This Test will help you to qualify for a CSCS card, providing you have achieved the other relevant qualifications. We offer Tests for all types of CITB categories (see below).

Available: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Information on CITB test

• 50 multiple-choice questions
• Duration: 45 minutes
• Two components: questions on case studies and general knowledge questions on health and safety issues

There are different types of CITB test. The test you need to take will depend on your work and role in construction industry. Types of test include:

• Operative Test – focusing on health, safety, environment, high-risk activities, legal aspects and management
• Specialist Test – multiple-choice questions and case studies testing your specialist knowledge on specific subjects:
